Our Model

Oak Hill School serves students age 5-22 living with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Neurodevelopmental and psychiatric challenges. Our multi-disciplinary approach draws on the expertise of the classroom teacher, speech therapist, psychologist, and occupational therapist to create optimal programming for each student.
We believe that each student is capable of learning and developing when given a pace and trajectory that is consistent with his or her unique profile. We see it as our responsibility to support our students in that endeavor. Each multi-disciplinary team considers each of the following seven domains as they develop programming for each student:
Academic Competence Language and Communication Relationship building and social cognition Executive Functioning Motor skills and motor planning Activities of daily living and independence building Self Awareness and Self Regulation
